I just got my 1st Sebbie... WOW ....

Probably many of you have seen it here on the forum. It is the small with Mastadon Ivory overlay.

I have looked at pictures of Sebbies here many times, even got to fondle on briefly at a small knife show a while back. But now I realize what all of the "hype" is about. What a well made knife! WOW!

I love the one I got, for me, it combines the ultimate in Modern machining technology, with the history of thousands-and-thousands year old bone. Cool. WOW!

My thanks go out to Newknifeguy, his description of the knife was flawless, and the transaction I made with him was great.

Anyway, happy to become a part of the "Sebbie Club".

-Dave

P.S. WOW!:p

Congratulatons! Way to go Dave. I can only offer words of caution however, about straying over to the dark side. One Sebbie is never enough :D

Thanks Greg.

I think I am going to enjoy the "Dark Side" if this is it. One of these days, I'm gonna coax you out of a Large Sebbie. I continue to get things in trade... who knows?

I believe that you are the "Emporer" of "SebbieWars" You must own more than anyone out there. :)

I'm hooked. Thanks-

-Dave

Don't think I am the Emperor of Sebbie Wars. There are plenty of Forumites that have bigger and more diverse collections of Sebbies ( but it sure is fun trying to catch up)Sold one off and have a trade going on another, but I decided that some of them might start getting lonely so instead of thinning the herd, I sent 3 off to CRK today. One is scheduled for a Silver Contrast, another a repair/replacement and inlay, and not sure yet about the other ;)

Enjoy that unusual Sebbie, then get another, then another, .... , well you know how that ends :p

Hey Iverson

Gee i thought you would be more excited to get your first sebbie, Something like WWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWwwww

Gotta use deep breaths. Congrats on your first she sounds like a beauty.

My first Sebbie (Kauila) will have to wait until June. I asked the gang at CRK if the knife that honors my daughter could be born on her birthday, which is in June. The next one will be Sept. for my oldest son and also has a theme. Then it's not until next June for the next knife honoring my other son (also born in June).

You guys are killin' me here with all these great new Sebbies. How about a couple of months moratorium on "new CRK" postings? (Yeah, right, fat chance that'll ever happen :D)

BTW - Here's the basis for the knife design Legend of Kauila
It will combine some of Lisa's fine work with koa wood inlay.

Howdy again fellas...

Terrapin, This is my first Seb, but it is not new. It was 'born' exactly 4 years and 363 days ago. (plus or minus a leap lear day)

I think it is pretty cool that you get the certificate with the date the knife is finished.

Greg, You own more Sebbies than anyone I have talked to or written to.... so in my book, that makes you the "Emporer of SebbieWars" Until I am converted back to the "good" side of 'the force' I will have to maintain the opinion that "these are the droids I am looking for".

I really admire the quality of this knife. I have read many threads about preference between this knife and many others. As to date, this one KICKS ASS!!!

I love it, love it, love it...

...............Dave, you will definately be HOOKED! Not a bad thing though:) I just picked up a large wood inlaid Classic, madagascar rosewood, which brings me back up to 3 larges:D So I know that I am addicted to this sebbie thing;)

Hmmm...............I might need to start my post with: Hello, my name is Art and I am a Sebenzaholic!!!

Terrapin Flyer, I think that's great, having a theme like that, with the knives customized and dated for your kids.

The first time I opened the box, I started thinking of the one I wanted next. Sebenzas just reach out and grab your heart! All I had ever hoped for in a folder. And, as amazing as it sounds, (you all know this :)) when the blade is in the open position, it's like a one-piece knife. I couldn't be more pleased.

I find that if I rotate any other EDC knife for more than about two days I really start missing my small classic! Being an engineer there is something about the simplicity of the design that really grabs me.

I am a fanatic baseball fan (should I admit that?) and
believe it or not the large decorated Serbie I purchased
is named "line Drive"------just perfect.

Now-which Serbie should I get next-hummmmmm.

Welcome to the Serbie fever.

Hey, thanks for the support fellas.... It's not easy realizing I'm a Sebbie-holic... But It feels great... :)

I'm on the waiting list for a Mayo.... and can't wait to get it in my hands :) I know that Tom enjoys his Sebbies, too... so as far as I am concerned, I am not doing to bad in my choices as a newbie here!

Take it easy fellas!

-Dave;)
