Just bought it! :D. Bob is a legend though. So perhaps to some collectors it could be worth it.

Move that decimal over two spaces , then i could understand.

That's 10,000 more than i paid for my car!

Thats an original Bob Loveless. The most highly regarded knife maker of all time IMO. If I was rich I would definitely own one of his knives.
I have to settle for drooling over John Denton's collection at Blade.

Did you know who Bob Loveless was?

Loveless originals go for real money.

Scagle's of the right model sell for 45,000 or more at auction. This year, one of his bird and trout little fixed blades sold for 11,500, a cork screw sold for 3,700, a folder for 18,500, his personal belt knife sold for 35,000, and a large fixed blade Scagel sold for 45,225.

People buy stuff they want. Especially stuff that other's can't have. The fact that they are famous makers, that completely changed the custom knife making industry is one of the reasons. Another reason is no more are being made by these makers.

My own uncle (Glen Hornby), when he was still alive, made knives inspired by Loveless designs. Literally thousands of custom makers make versions of these designs. (Both Loveless, Scagel, and others).

I thought this would be a thread about 'World of Warcraft'...

$27K+ for an original Bob Loveless knife? Yes, that is serious, not a joke, and well worth the money to someone. I'd love to own such a piece of history. But for those of us who cannot afford the original works of art from the minds of great men, there are always copies.

Ignorant members should investigate just who Bob Loveless was. Also investigate who Leonardo DaVinci was and what his work sells for.

I definitely know who Bob was. Not saying its not worth it. It obviously could be to those that collect his stuff. Like I said. Bob was a legend. And just because tones can not be expressed through the internet. I am in no way indignant ;).

< read up on loveless knives. That's how i found the link. I still think that's a lot of cash to spend however if i had hard earned money to spend i would buy that $24k knife  heck id die with it !

As a guy who doesn't get the idea of safe queens, and who knows who Loveless was.... That's ridiculous. You could never justify using a $28k knife, so why own it in the first place? Have an exact replica made for 1/30th of the price, and use that.
