Well, I have officially joined the sebenza owners club as of today. Picked this up used here on BF. I was a spyderco and ZT folder only guy---- up until now! This large 21 seb is so basic, yet so badazz with phenomenal fit and finish and attention to detail. On an impulse late last night, I picked up my large sebs baby brother(small seb 21) used here as well. I am very impressed and look forward to learning from you CRK gurus!

I did notice some dirt and pocket crud that needs to be cleaned out so I plan on taking this bad boy apart tonight for a thorough cleaning. Any tips or links to proper cleaning are appreciated!

Thanks for reading!

There isn't much to it. Just 2 washers, a pivot, some screws, and some spacers. It's hard to screw up. Just google or YouTube tear down. Tons of examples.

On another note that is a great choice you will be super happy.

Thanks Corey, I just found a jdavis882 seb take down and cleaning video on youtube that was helpful. Question---- is it necessary to use the CRK lube, or will something else work?

I have read here that a lot of people like using Nano Oil. I ordered some yesterday, and it's not exactly cheap. It comes in a decent looking little precision oiler bottle, and it's probably enough to last me a few years. I'm hoping it will make the action a little looser feeling. I can let you know in a day or so..

There is a good stickey thread on taking down the Sebenza towards the top of this forum.

Nice find. The knife looks great. IMHO, part of the beauty is how simple these knives are and how easily they are to completely break down for cleaning. Pure genius really.

I know you're only 13, but you don't need to tell me whats better than a Sebenza.
My oldest Sebenza(1999) is older than you:p

Believe me, if I liked Hinderer better I would own one, or more.

i was born in 1999 whats the crks bday?.. dont get me wrong I still love my crk:)

Congrats rg02, i think it is much fun to take your knife apart and reassamble later.
I did it once with a Endura4 (I had to look) and it took a while to get it back together properly.

@Ken44: now that's not a CRK in your avatar?
