Howdy Herd. Monday was a big day for me. After years of lurking, I got a package in the mail with my first XM-18. It's a 3.5" Spanto Flipper. It came in ACU, but I had a translucent green frag scale waiting on it. Carried it this week, and put it through what will be its normal paces, and could not be more impressed. This little thing, is the real deal. Completely worth every penny and more. And I will give it to Rick, he can put a scary sharp edge on a blade, didn't take me 2 days to have a little blood on the blade (didn't even feel the nick, just felt the blood dripping). Enough with the long winded-ness, here are some pics.










Fitting in nicely with the rest of the rotation.

Killer frag scale. 3.5 totally is an amazing knife!
 
Thanks y'all. Now if I could just find some Blue standoffs, a Blue pocket clip, and and the steel flame .45 LBS, I think I would be set.
 
I love your XM it looks hot with the frag scale on it man!!! Been thinking of getting one for my knife too.

Right? The way it goes in my head. Jeans/Cargo shorts = XM. Slacks = Sebbie. ANd the other 2 are the beater versions/don't want to get confiscated knives. (Most folks read that, or hear that and think I am a 9 on the crazy scale). But I don't see this thing coming out of my everyday for a long while.

I do something similar from time to time. In College I carried Spydercos and Benchmades. When I fly, I check the same brands and a Cryo. When I'm restricted in my rights, I carry what I can? At all other times (majority)...at least one XM is on me or very close by.

I EDC 2 knives. The XM and a small seb or Mnandi. Perfect combination for light and public duty and then everything else (XM). I have a cryo and a freefall for when I fly and I am away from home for a few days so I'm a 9 on the crazy scale too...

awesome knife bro! I really like that scale, I havnt seen much of that. I know JUST what you mean about the edge, I bloodied up my Hinderer within minutes of opening it! lol...EASILY the sharpest "factory" edge that Iv ever recieved on a knife...no pain (at first) just the blood. :p ...these things are just too sharp and too smooth for their own good!! :D
