That is a beautiful knife. Didn’t know ZDP was that tough, the only thing it can’t handle is being shot lol
 
With big chunks of Moroccan hash in their pockets.... Too long but interesting to watch. Great knife evidentially.

I’m so amazed with the “factory” sharpness. In their last video where they introduce their three Rocksteads, ALL THREE KNIVES had essentially perfect convex edges. Add to that the edge retention and pretty amazing toughness at 67 HRC and consider me impressed. Not that I’m likely to ever own a Rockstead, but after that test I’m starting to think that’s probably my “grail brand”.
 
They are certainly beautiful. There has been a few threads pointing out their sorta ho-hum warranty though.
 
Rocksteads are absolutely beautiful knives. Don't think I can complain about the quality.
Their warranty is only good for the registered original buyer/owner. Which to me isn't really a deal killer.
But their prices are, even though I can afford to buy one.

BTW, these guys on DBK in the video said that ZDP-189 was made by the same company as Cowry-X, but that's incorrect.
Hitachi Metals makes ZDP-189 and Daido Specialty Steels makes Cowry-X.
