I just received my WW2 model by Shanker. It takes a bit of time here for packages to clear customs (approximately three weeks).
All I can say is ... WOW!!!

The WWII's are nice, aren't they. But then I haven't met a K yet that I didn't like. :)

Osiyo Mosh!!!!
Congrats on your first khuk and welcome to the Cantina otherwise known as the Psycho Ward!!!!:)

What's your primary use for the khuk?

"Three weeks because the knife was sent back first try (reason unknown) and had to be reshipped."

All packages go to customs for routine inspection and collection of VAT (similar to sales tax). Big Brother is on the job.
Actually, this is not my first Kukri, nor my first HI Kukri. Not having forests or woodlots to put it to work, the WW2 will serve for the usual drills and also be plain admired. It is also now part of my emergency kit, and there seems to be an emergency in the offing in the immediate future (guess).
Some preliminary research shows that the "kofitz" is mentioned in Talmudic literature and appears in some ancient drawings. This would seem to indicate that the forerunner of today's kukri was in service in this part of the globe some 2,000 years ago! It gives one a sense of continuity.
;)
