I pressed out some billets at IG's place today.. That press is great.  This is what it looks like after 2hrs in F/C and sanded with 1000 grit paper..IG, I have 6 ft of the chain for you.. maybe next weekend we can meet at the show. Let me know when and where..

Louis, I know what you mean about the press,,,BIG time saver.

The wrought looks good,,will certainly be nice fitting material for hilt bolster, etc. :D , maybe even blade material on San Mai

Louis: I still think you should sell billet and links. I believe there is a market for it.:D :D
I will let you know if I am definitely attending the show this coming weekend.

I coat wrought with melted beeswax and then place it on some paper towell in the oven at 250 for an hour (or more). Most of the excess beeswax will melt and run off but a very fine layer will stay on. After it cools off I buff it with a shoe shine brush.

Some of the wrought I treated this way is over a year old and no sign of corosion.

There are many other ways to protect it also, I just like the buffed beeswax finish.
