I really like some of the wrought iron fixtures some of you use and I would like to know where would be a good place to find some and how to know it if I see it.Is there any tricks to working with it. Thanks in advance

Well it is hard to describe but after you have seen a few bits you can often tell. It seams to rust in a different look to steel.

It often appears to have a wood grain when etched. The thing I found with forging it is the iron I use is old railway spikes that are about 100 yers old.

If you don't work them hot they tend to split and crack if you bend them.

So there is the tip work it hot. Hotter than steel. Some old building built over 100 years ago have wrought iron bolts. Lots off very old steel is iron,

sorry cant be more help.
