9.5" of w's pattern that was crushed into 8 triangles. Then stack up into a square billet. "Many thanks to Bruce Bump for the inspiration on this one."
The guard is a little S shape of nickel. The ironwood is very nice.

Next up is a W-2 bowie I already posted a while back. ( My pics did it no justice) I sent it along with the fighter to Coop to capture its magic.

Feel free to comment.

Bing,

Both of those bowies are gorgeous, but the fighter really is something else. Looks well-balanced and fast with that long wicked blade.

There a couple of things I want to point out, which make these exceptional. Look at the rounded/crowned spine, which mates to a perfectly symmetrical ground clip. Look also at his usage of heat treating coloring on the guard.

Look as well at the natural hollows on the opposite side.

One of the first things we do when we admire or inspect a handmade knife is to look at it closely.

Let's do that:

How thin can you make that guard? Nicely trim.

Thanks, Bruce. These were wonderful.

Thanks to all for all the comments.

Special thank you to Coop for his comments he has pointed the assets going on with these two. Also I would like to publicly thank Jim for being patient with me on these.
