I was disappionted to see the Wall Street Journal dis the SOG power lock. Their comments:

'The drilled-metal sides of the SOG PowerLock, which cost us $77 at the manufacturer's Web site, gave it a medieval feel. It opened beautifully, felt great in the hand and had a simple locking mechanism. Jamie found the SOG "best-looking and most elegant." But the addition of unnecessary and breakable "handle covers" made us want to keep it out of our toolbox."

They picked the Leatherman Charge Ti and the Kershaw Multi-Tool as their picks. Not sure where they are coming from.

:(

Scottsman, I did not read that, oh well, not everyone will like all SOGs all the time.

I still think they are great tools........... :)

Good to see you here again............ :)

wall street journal? aren`t they glorified accountants? what do they want it for? toolbox ? do they mean pencil case or what? i suppose grip is important when you have a lot of pencils to sharpen?

Give me a break.

Someone should inform the apparently uninformed that the "handle covers" are removable. And while your at it why not grab their finger with one to demonstrate the massive crushing power of the mighty powerlock!:D

I guess their "review" didn't include things such as ease of repair, quality of customer service, gripping power, optional accessories and overall utility.;)

My thoughts as well.

BTW Robbie, I haven't been away, just too busy to post. Congratulations on the continued success with the revolver.

Best,

Scottsman, thank you, just missed you for a little while, take a rest sometimes and come see us....... :D

The Powerlock is a great tool. WSJ is complaining about the image and what it LOOKS like. City folks just don't understand.
