Hey there, I was wondering if I could get a hold of some pics of the teeth on either a Beck or Linger WSK. Pics from the sides and from the top would be awesome. I'm fixing to make a WSK and I need to know how to grind the teeth. You can either post them or email them to me, whichever is easier for you, my email's in my profile. Thanks much!

yes the kerf is the same thickness as the blade. providing you mean swiss army knife by SAK then i'd imagine that the WSK would cut as well, if not better that the saw on a swiss army. also the WSK is 1/4 inch thick so it would cut a heckuva lot bigger notch than a swiss army. I'll let you know how it performs once i finish it.

Have you used a SAK saw? It is one of the more aggressive small saws, it is also trailing back tapered so the kerf is significantly wider than the blade, ~20%.

sry for the delay, yes i have used an SAK saw; the one on my almost 10yr old multi-tool pocket knife. yeah i'd agree, it's pretty gnarly. i don't think i've seen one thats kerf is any wider than the rest of it though. but i'm by no means a swiss army knife connoisuer, and i could just be remembering mine wrong... lol.

The blade tapers from edge to spine, sort of a reverse flat grind which achieves a similar effect as offset teeth.
