Not long ago I got Blade Grinder Attachment (BGA) for my Work Sharp Ken Onion (WSKO) edition. I also obtained a WS Strop Kit and 2 leather belts for stopping. My question is to those how have used the blade grinder attachment. How sharp can you get knives with the WSKO BGA? What tips do you have for getting it there?

Thanks

I'm kind of irritated because I bought the KOWS and bunch of extra belts. Now everyone is saying that the blade grinder setup is the way to go. Another $80 plus more for belts. I have tried the KOWS with the blade guide removed and went freehand with some success.

Dont let it wreck your day. There is a recent thread where a few respected members speak of the good luck they have with the unit you have.
I got one wednesday and it works great on kitchen knives, All the house beater knives, and the ones I loan out at work are really sharp. I havent mastered it well enough to run any expensive folders yet, having an issue with following the tip contour, although the kershaws and spydies i practiced on have a nice edge and it was a lot quicker than a progression of stones.
Maybe sometime i will spring for the knife grinding add on, for now the old harbor freight will suffice.

I agree that it works pretty good on kitchen knives. I just need more practice on beaters before I try it on my $200 BM Crooked River!!
