Was at wally World picking up some meds and had to wait a bit. Went to the sporting goods section and they had some small Buck Knife sets. A 2 inch clip and a small pocket knife for $17.00. What the hay.... Got one. Still have the WSKS at the office and had some additional MM belts..... Sooooo lunch time on Friday was play time...

Used the 40 degree guide that came with the WSKS and ran a set of belts on the 2 inch clip knife and small pocket knife.

PICs are of the clip.

I worked the clip at home a few times on the strop blocks that I fabricated (seems to get sharper each time I run it over the set).

Impressed with my results....

That's a problem when you are drawing the blade off the edge of the abrasive. I have a Chef's Choice at work, and I've learned to use the outside edge of the gaurd to reduce the pressure against the abrasive. I've never used a work sharp. Is it possible to lift the tip off the belt before it slides all the way off?

Re-pointing is pretty easy as long as the tipp isn't too rounded. Just yesterday I poked my thumb with a friend's pocket knife as I was reestablishing the point.

Yep. I loose focus and most likey I am turning the tip into the belt as I am finishing my pull. I stop 1/2 way accross the belt (only a 1/2 inch wide belt). WSKS is a mini-belt sander with sharpening guides.
