WSKT Sharpening Angle...

...OK...just got my WSKT sharpener out of the box.... :) I have both the supplied 50 degree guide and the optional 40 degree guide... the question for all those in the know which do I use for what purpose.. ?

nearly all the knives i can think of would be just fine with a 40 degree inclusive bevel. it's a good all around angle for kitchen knives, pocket knives and outdoor knives. personally i would barely touch the 50 degree setting, an exception might be something like a meat cleaver or a machete where you want a really durable edge.
