WSKTS-KO Blade Grinding Attachment Leather belt snapped!

I have invested in the Blade Grinding Attachment for the Ken Onion Edition Knife & Tool Sharpener.
Especially, I was looking forward to finish my blades with the Leather Honing Belt.

Therefore, I prepared the leather belt carefully by following the instructions sheet, which comes with the belt.
But after honing just three knives, the leather belt suddenly snapped without warning.
I have rechecked with the instructions sheet, and I'm pretty sure, I did everything as prescribed.
This is really a huge disappointment, because I had such high hopes about finishing my knives on the belt.

My head is full of questions, so I hope some of you can enlighten me a bit:
  • Have any of you experienced the leather belt snapping?
  • Can it somehow be repaired?
  • Is there a way to reinforce the belt, where the ends are glued together?

I will really appreciate your help in this!

Haven't had a problem with mine, I would just contact WorkSharp, I suspect you'll have another one in the mail PDQ.

Edit: Maybe also check that the tension adjustment is as low as possible.

Thanks, KC
Before anything, let me congratulate you on the Ken Onion sharpening system.
It's truly unique and produces excellent results.

As I live in Europe and bought the belt from lamnia.fi, do you think I should contact them?

If not, can I contact customer service through email?

Mine is starting to separate at the join. It hasn't snapped yet and is still working fine. It gets a fair bit of use...
