WTB dedicated to Bussekins?

Repeatedly missing out, or straight up getting declined a buy due to being international, can be really frustrating.
Sometimes one can be the first to jump on and still end up empty-handed.
In fact, I just failed to acquire my grail again... which makes me think...
The regular WTB is too saturated due to the sheer number of posts, making it very hard for your posts to be seen; especially if you're seeking out rarer knives.
Wouldn't it be nice if there is a WTB thread dedicated to Busse & Kin (like there is one for CPK) so buyers like me can actively seek out their want-to-buys?
What do you think?

TLDR: Please make a WTB only for Busse knives.

That would be best brought up in

They are the ones who make those calls

Maybe if enough folks ask for it it will happen.
Thank you sir, I posted a thread there. Anyone having the same thoughts can go there and show interests? https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/wtb-dedicated-to-bussekins.1824930/

Looks like they made one under Knife Exchange. I just posted something.
I think there’re only one WTB knives. Maybe you mean the dedicated Busse for sale sub-forum?

Well, since my post over at the support sub-forum stays unanswered; maybe I make one here myself? Can we just start to post our own want-to-buy here, in this thread? And see what the higher power will say? Or please let me know if there are any ideas?

Nope that is against the rules.

... and it's a tall order, as even supermod is not the final decision maker. There are also too few users needing this I suppose... Oh well, least I tried

Hi T Thejax
This has been a subject brought up but rejected after consideration years before, when BF.com was on the old vbulletin forum platform before the upgrade- because, if I recall correctly, one can just as easily use the sub-forum's search option to exclude everything but Busse, Swamp Rat, and/or Scrapyard or SYKCO by searching with those words. For instance, if I had a CGFBM I wanted to sell, I'd enter the WTB forum and search "Busse" & "Mistress", also "FBM" to see if there are any recent ISO's posted. 🤔👍

Yes I understand. Nevertheless, I think that helps only sellers and not buyers...

Say if I have a Custom Shop TGLB Bowie in Satin, I'd just post a sell thread, with appropriate price, and wait. In no time, I'd have a number of buyers inboxing me for business, so no need for me to search for buyers at all.
Then I will only need to decide who to sell the knife to:
- A is the first guy. He is ready to pay, but he is international, and shipping oversea is problematic. He has helps within the US if I don't want to sell oversea, he is asking to keep the knife on hold while he's confirming the address;
- B is second in line. He is also ready to pay, and he is local;
- C is the same as B, but he is third in line by half a minute.
Assuming A is truthful and he is indeed not using third party forwarding company whatever, I'd just go for B regardless. C is just simply unlucky.
As a seller myself few years back, I'd just want to go to the more convenient option.

That's the problem I'm facing as a buyer, and I think many are also.
I'm looking for more ways for Busse buyers to have their WTB be seen/exposed more, increasing their chances of acquiring, and not have to be:
- Fighting for first on a sell thread, and
- At the mercy of sellers.
I can post my WTB to a dedicated Busse sub-forum/ thread, and try a gain in 2 weeks. Even if my WTB is rare, I'd know that I'd have more chance to get it because I posted on a dedicated place.
With many Busse sellers/buyers frequent the place, chances are some will contact me eventually.

Maybe it's a pipe dream, but doesn't hurt to try asking for 😌

Maybe I’m alone at this, but - as a seller - I don’t have the best experience responding to WTB adds: every single time that I did, the potential buyer starts negotiating, asking for more pictures, etc, when the offer that I made was more then fair. Once pictures are made, for a seller, it’s much easier to post a sale thread.

As a US seller and with Paypal, it’s much more risky to ship internationally. How about you offer something extra, next time you respond to a sale thread that you like ?

OTOH, buyers can purchase from sellers here with a zero cost membership, & may post unlimited WTB's per the forum rules on how, but sellers must upgrade & maintain a Gold membership or higher to list items for sale.
🤔 Seems fair, yes? And, if one has a Gold membership, that person can use their sig space to advertise their ISO, which means wherever you post on BF, you've left your ISO on each post as well.
---> Folks, I've been notified by a SuperMod that "we" (everyone, sitewide) are NO LONGER permitted to use our sig space to advertise a WTB/ISO anymore. It has been explained to me that ISO's in sig spaces are viewable by everyone, including those not permitted to sell here, giving those folks incentive to skirt the Gold & above selling privileges policy. Apologies, presumably, as with most rule changes here, the previous version allowing ISO's in that space was probably abused to the point of causing this change. Very sorry.

As for fighting for 1st, that is the way here in Busseland. It used to be MUCH harder to score knives from Busse, which meant Busse FS listings, the few there were per week, were jumped on so much more quickly...talk about brutal competition lol
Also ferider ferider is correct- with my own experiences on replying to WTB's over the years..if they don't try to lowball, they want more pix, details, etc., & I've even had 1 try to wait until after a deal was struck to reveal that he was requiring international shipping (I usually include shipping in a price for USA)...or they reply very slowly or not at all. Not ideal after reading how badly they might want a particular model in their ISO. Like everyone else selling, I want a no-hassle sale, not a bunch of BS after taking the time to seek out a buyer over their grail or ISO. YMMV 🤷‍♂️
