Hi: I finally found out the model of this pen I have been trying to locate. It was sold in the USA at Staples for about $11.00 and was recently closed out. I have been unsuccessful in finding one available at any Staples retailers or online. If anyone has one they would like to sell or knows of a reasonable source, I would appreciate the help! Being a pen nut (aren't we all??), I bought one of those at Staples. They had a bunch (this is at a Northeast Pennsylvania store)...I hardly ever used it, although it writes smoothly. I never really noticed if they stopped selling these, but I have mine around somewhere. I bought the regular Fisher Bullet pen so it kinda took the place of any of the other "space" pens I have, including the one you're looking for. So, if I find mine, I'll let you know and I'll send it to you. It will be next Saturday before I get it sent out though, since we're doing some vacation stuff...okay?

I have been obsessed with finding it! I should have known to check with knife nuts! I personally have problems with guns, knives, flashlights, watches , and pens!....besides gadgets of all sorts. Of late, I have a fetish for fountain pens that retract!

I sure hope you are able to find the pen. Please let me know how much to send you. Anxiously awaiting your reply!

I found it! It looks brand new. The writing isn't on the barrel, down near the rubbery grip area as in the pic posted above. On the one I bought, up near the top (this is the part you turn to make the pen-tip come out) is printed in small black letters the following...
0 Gravity
-50F to 400F
...of course, there's that degree sign after the numbers and before the F, but I can't find that on my keyboard! Then, on the top end of the pen it says AL1 Spacetec by Diplomat.

When you e-mail me, put something in the header saying space-pen, or something, so that my wife doesn't delete it thinking it's spam! Like I said, I can't send it out until next Friday, since we're going away early in the a.m. for vacation. If that's okay by you, then we're set!

What have you found? The only one I know about is the Vanishing Point. I'd love to learn about others!
