WTB Knifemaker tool requests being moved to "Gadgets and Gear"?

I dunno if this has already come up or not, but I'm really wondering what the rationale behind moving all the Knifemaker requests for equipment posted in "Knifemaker Supplies & Tools" to the "Gadgets and Gear" section is?

Honestly the *ONLY* way I even know that sub-forum exists is because those threads keep getting moved there, and I have never and likely will never check it otherwise. I can almost guarantee that 90% of other knifemakers on the forum feel the same. I only frequent the knifemaker sections of the forum, that's what I'm here for, and whatever policy is in place that's prompting those moves, I think its doing a disservice to the makers legitimately searching for specialized equipment.

My opinion may not be worth anything, and I may be missing some vital piece of information that would cause this situation to make more sense to me, if so, apologies. However, from my perspective as a maker, the only place I'm going to see requests, or expect other makers to see them, is in the "Knifemaker Supplies & Tools" section. So please take that under consideration mods. Gadgets and Gear just doesn't make sense, at the very least, put up a "Wanted: Tools or Supplies" sub forum *in* the knifemaker market area.

For Sale: Knifemaking Supplies & Tools

I see the problem. You want a Want to Buy: Knifemaking Supplies & Tools. Since the only WTB is outside the KnifeMaker's Market: Knives & More for Sale, you've been posting in a sale forum there.

From a moderator's point of view, it's an obvious move, which is why we keep doing it. Posting the question in Tech Support is a good idea. Let's see if Spark can set up a Want to Buy: Knifemaking Supplies & Tools in the KnifeMaker's Market.

Is there a need for such a subforum? If so, I'll create one.

I believe so Spark, I think its the only way to avoid the moderation concern yet still ensure the target audience is reached, which as specific and rare as some of these tools can be, is crucial.

It won't be the most heavily used forum there, but it is a logical extension of the whole Knifemakers Market concept.
Putting these requests in the other WTB forum is just burying them.
