I commend Spyderco for their charitable efforts to help the financial burden of the families that lost a loved one who were part of the rescue efforts.
However, personally, and mind you this is just my personal feelings about it, I can't help but feel it is somewhat ghoulish to own a knife that is made from the twisted ruins of that tragic day as if it were a souvenir. I find it somewhat inappropriate since it's well known that those SOB criminal terrorists used bladed implements to threaten the victims on the plane.
I'd sooner let the victims and ruins rest in peace. Still others may find some sort of cathartic solace from it. Once again, I appreciate Spyderco's charitable efforts regardless amd encourage that if people are going to buy it, that they do so with the best of intentions to help the families out; not as a souvenir or investment.
Once again, let me stress these are just my personal feelings. I respect others whose opinions may differ on the matter and would be interested in hearing about them.
