So, its been a little while now. Just wandering what everyone thinks of the WTF in BG thus far. Of particular interest, in how well she performs as compared to the NMFBM.
It's with much thanx to Garth, and the rest of the Busse Combat Team that I will be receiving, very shortly, a new WTF in BG. She'll have a black blade with black and blue G10 handles. Gotta admit that I'm excited about this.
At any rate, I was thinking that at .280 and 11", the WTF BG will be a chopper to be reckoned with. Maybe the new King??

Performs at what compared to the NMFBM? I have both and both are really awesome. The WTF has a lot of mass behind it, so on a one swing vs one swing comparison with a stock edge the WTF is quite the chopper indeed. For sitting around a camp fire and just having fun making splinters and light processing of wood, the WTF really is pretty epic; however, if you had to do any amount of real chopping with the knife the NMFBM is much more nimble and comfortable for prolonged use. Regardless, I'm quite happy to have both. In regards to a "king" at chopping, I'm still thinking that my MOAB reigns supreme. Admittedly, I have not had a ton of time using my BG WTF just yet so that opinion could change, but I doubt it at this point.

Yes, I was wandering how it compared as a chopper to the nmfbm. And you answered that. Thanx.
My dad still burns wood, plus Im out in the woods a lot. Ill put it thru its paces. If I decide to keep it. Sounds like the nmfbm is more practical than either wtf or moab.

Cool, you are very welcome. I think you'll want to keep it, it's a ton of fun even though it's not the most practical. The BG WTF is a really excellent value when you consider price per square inch too!

Man....those Black and Blue G10's are just beautiful!
I have a set of Bunker Busters both coming with those handles. Of course the Pumpkin G10 (Orange and Black) are awfully slick too.
Hehehe.....I'm just a little excited fellas.
 
Well fella hogs, this little piggie is gonna have to wait until next week before he gets his WTF w/Bruiser grips. Seems a bit of the coating chipped off prior to shipping and shes being re-coated as I write this.
We shall wait until next week then.
Great job by the Busse QC team.
 
Yep, new king, the MOAB is really close and the NMFBM is in there but a lot of the what the WTF has going for it is the angle of the grind spread all the way up.

I apologize for the poor picture quality hogs.

Congrats!!! I absolutely love mine!!! I wish that I would have done an un-boxing video, my reaction was pretty much the same as Mr. Stanley's...lol
 
I know what ya mean lol....it just dwarfs both my Ash1 and SFNO.
Mine averages a good .290 in the flats.

Gosh guys, after handling and looking at the wtf-bg, I really wish I wouldve had the money to have scored a Combat Grade WTF.
I would imagine its just incredible in person.
Busse should've accepted payment plans on that Hog.
