Forgive me if this post is in the wrong area, but I figured that this would be the best place to find out. I might have a chance to get a "Slient Knight" knife from a friend's brother who has decided that eight years in the military was enough. I was told that the knife is A2 steel with a Micarta grip. This knife has been used but is "pretty good shape" -his brother's words. He did state that he spent around $500.00 for it when he joined, which was back in 1994. Anyone have an idea or a guesstimate as to a fair amount to offer?
Thanks

send me a picture of it and i will let you know. if not post it here and let us drool on it! i would love to have one if you got a spare.:D :D :D

I thought KL's were ATS-34. I could definitely be wrong. If the knife is in good shape.....it should be worth quite a bit.

We need a pic :D

Just dont let skunk keep you guessing while he contacts the guy to buy it out from under you!

If the guy that you are buying it from knows a bit about Busse knives, then it could get expensive.

Welcome to the forum.

Send me an email and I'll talk to you about the knife and give you some going prices on the older stuff.

BTW...if you can get this knife, DO IT.

If you decide to pass I'll buy it. :D

don't believe onewhobuys! he already has too many knives, help save him from his bad habit and make sure i get a chance to buy it.

remember.. an empty knife is only a club ? er a ? crap i mean gun:confused:

Hey Skunk,
I am an INFI Ignoramus, what are those?:confused:
They look like the proverbial tactical kitchen knives, with an extra helping of attitude: very cool!!!:cool:

they are

ufo = urgent fury oversized

uf = urgent fury

ufu = urgent fury undersized

they were made around 1990

Well, I spoke to my friends brother and I have an update- good news and bad. The good news that the knife is in really good condition with only minor scratches in the finish. The bad news is the guy would not part with it. He has decided that he is going to keep it and the rest of his Marine Corp stuff. He told me that while he apprecated the offer but he wanted to leave all his stuff for his kid. I can understand that. Thanks
