Something that will hold a razor edge, and generally be the best all around knife. I like the Extrema Ratios, Cold Steel, as well as I think the ones calle d"Mission Knives" that were non metalic titanium ones. Money no object.

What would you buy? Give me a list of like 6 knives or so that are the cream of the crop.

I know firearms best and little about specialty blades. I am a collector. I appreciate your time and help!
P.S. Anyone interested in these?

Would love to have a gyrojet, and I'm not even old enough to remember Buck Rogers. :)

If money is no object you could have an ABS Mastersmith make a knife.

or.....
(The following list of names contain powerful trollbait.)

Above Water.
Chris Reeve, the one piece range or Green Beret. Bobby Branton/Walter Brend#2. Rob Simonich Combat Raven. Busse and Swamprat. Then there's The Strider line.

Under the water, my knives don't have points because I'm afraid I'll stab myself in the Leg. I use a chisel point Buck Intrepid.

Titanium is a metal. Non-magnetic, but metal detectors will catch it. Good for a dive knife because it won't corrode and will pry. Doesn't hold a real sharp edge nearly as well as steel.

If you want a knife to fight with it may not have to be the "best", whatever that is. (Too many variables, too many requirements.) It should be light (fast) with a good grip and guard and probably corrosion-resistant because it will be a hideaway until you need it. A Bagwell bowie or a good dagger might be best.

Combat knives get used for utility more than sticking into an enemy. Bullets work better for sticking into an enemy. So combat, or tactical, knives generally end up overbuilt, like Extrema Ratio, Strider, and Busse, for durability.

Depends on what you want.
I really like the Cold Steel Laredo Bowie. I'm going to post a review of it vs. the Camillus OVB Fisk Bowie this weekend, hopefully.
The Laredo is a nice balance between looks, functionality, chopper, fighter, and utililty

I forgot all about Gyrojets. That's some collection!
