You're getting something special. The Fehrman isn't just one of the original production run with the thong hole. It's one of the prototypes. Eric Fehrman donated it to a raffle on the Hoods Woods forum several years ago to raise money for a knifemaker whose shop had burned. He told me that it was one of the 3-4 prototypes they used for testing edge geometries, tempering, etc. Pretty cool. I think you'll enjoy it.
