Wusthof handles cracking

Hi all. Did a quick search for handles, but nothing came up in the forum.

I have a set of Wusthof kitchen knives, which are okay, but the plastic handles are all cracking and in some case bits falling off.

Question is; is there somewhere (in Australia preferably) where I can get the handles re-made in wood? I suppose I could send them to the manufacturer but then I would get the same issue.

Thanks in advance.

I can't advise about repairs, but this is definitely a known issue:

Might be time to switch brands?

Hi thanks for the replies. I haven't tried the other forum, but will do. As regards the known issue thing...it may be the case as it is happening to all our Wusthof knives, which by the way explicitly say can be cleaned in a dishwasher.

You NEVER should put your chefsknives in a dishwasher. No matter what the manual says.

Not sure if I got it from my mother, but never put knives in the washer. I also preach it.
