title says it all.

Was glad everyone enjoyed the pics. It took me two years to find and has been six years since we settled on it, but the roads in and the weathers getting right.

I have 175 acres for us to play on with a mile of river just out of Elkins, WV. We will be about 1.5 miles from the main road surrounded by a few thousand acres of a timber company .

Elkins, WV is within 12 hrs of 2/3 of the US. Perty cool figure from their Chamber of Commerce.

4wheelers, cayaks, rafts, tents, fishing polls, and infi will all be appropriate.

I really hope some of you that posted about the area could attend too. Looks like some of ya know more about the area than me:thumbup:
Would add to the fun.

There is also THe Alpine Lodge just down the road thats has rooms for around $60. and serves a mean breakfast for about $7, and just a little further THe Cheat River Lodge and Inn has riverfront cabins for $180+ depending on # of adults with 2-3br, hottubs etc.( the first WV thread and 1st pic is of one of the riverfron cabins and the Hogtinni thread has pics of deck of another one)

Of course camping will be free!

If some of you have rafts or cayaks and are good -we could launch you at my place and pick ya up about 12miles downstream . Its all class1, 2 and 3's since the flood of 1985. Before then it was class 3-5, but it washed out some of the rapids. I've never done it but would love too. ( local died a fews years ago, but they think he had a heartattack. So this is serious and will be at everyone's own risk. or I can check into getting Cheat River Outfitters to guide us?)

Anyway enough blah, blah, blah. How about some input

Hogs wanting to come that I have heard from. Please post or pm me if interested or if I missed someone.

Its up to ten so far. Don't know about the rest but they're some mightly big Porkers already on the list. I for one am really looking forward to it. And if Guyon loads up the trunk as promised:) and the rest do the same---the earth could shift off its axis.

Now if we can get just get some from the shop to attend, we'd have a party. Boss, Garth, Amy, everyone else. Skunk Vicki--Ohio is close:D:thumbup:

Not sure I can make it that far, but it sounds like a blast.

175 acres:eek: Thats a nice chunk of land T, in a very beautifull place:thumbup:

I don't have much land, but am surrounded by a National Forrest. I do live on a nice mountain with a nice creek in front of house...but nothing like you have there! My creek only has class 1 and 2

Looks like about 8 hours for me. That's about like driving down to the coast.

Why didn't you invite me up during turkey season? :p

We have to talk @ Blade over a scotch:thumbup::cool:

Damn JN22,

that thing will go anywhere you got the balls to drive it.

Your in like Flint. THe roads are good depending on the rain. No lowriders though. There is a place at top to park cars etc. A subaru would be fine.

Just need a little height but most any truck would be ok 2 0r 4 wheel.

Plenty of stumps and vegetation to test all your infi. Just don't get caught chopping on any of my cherry trees:mad::thumbup:;)

Only about 3hrs from NOVA. just depending on your driving. I have made it from Haymarket in 2.5--rolling:), but avg is 3hrs.

SN--sure hope you come.\

but come on folks .....INPUT. dates etc

The sooner the better cause its cool and not cold or hot. Trout season is open:)

I will be campin so I can just stumble to my tent;)

OK T.
We need to make it happen this summer.

Elkins is about 600 miles from where I live.

I'm sure a plane ticket would be pretty cheap..
Later today I will talk to one of my friends and see if he is down to go with me....

That grouse will have no where to hide this time around :D:D:

Hot dog! My Uncle J is coming:thumbup:

THere is an airport in Elkins, but not sure who flies in there anymore???

We might have to do Round up one

and two!

the grouse , and everything else should be scared with Hogs around

Does this mean I'm going to have to buy a new knife for camping?

I'm in Western NC now, but I was raised in McDowell County WV. Tell me when and where so I can put it on my calendar. Want to bring the family, but may have to find a hotel for the wife and 2 year old. Wife isn't real big on camping. That or trade nights in tent for nights in hotel and/or shoppping:D Keep me posted on this. I don't know if I'll make Blade and this would give me a nice alternative.

I wonder how much it would cost to drive my POS from Virginia out to San Jose and back to WV... At about 12 MPG... And $3.50+ per gallon...

:eek::eek:
