I have 3 K's which my Dad brought back from China/Burma/India during WW-II. 1 or 2 have ivory handles and the other/s have dark handles that must be horn. They are in very good shape. They have the usual wood/leather sheaths. Are they of any value?

Dad also brought back 1 or 2 machete-like knives in long sheathes that are rather open down one side with a shoulder strap. Sheath & strap are made out of jungle materials. He said it was called an Intu. Spelling is probably wrong. Pronounced Inn-Two.

I'm just curious about these knives.

Thanks,Steve

Yes, they have value, especially the ivory khukuries.

There are very few standard khukuri models and value is largely dependent on condition, so it would be hard to decide on a number without looking at some pictures.

Sounds like you've got some cool khukuris:)

If you can post some pictures John Powell(resident khukuri expert) will probably be around to ID them with his usual Stunning accuracy:)

The WW-II K's are up north. I'll bring them home next time I'm there and post the pictures.

Thanks for your replys.

Steve
