WW2 Replica

G'day,

This is a replica of a WW2 Australian Army jungle knife. I only had a couple of bad pictures to work from and I don't expect my humble interpretation to be an exact reproduction of the original.

The 1095 blade is 10 inches long for an overall length of 15 inches.

Thank you for the encouraging words.
The original ones seemed to be pretty roughly made and designed to be abused on the battlefield and I've never seen one in the flesh. Only a few must have been made during the war, and there were two versions, one with a thick blade and one with a thin one, more like a machete.
 
great inspiration (I have a history hangup around WWI through the Cold War, when times were more interesting and espionage was real and mattered).
I like your interpretation. Lot of blade to polish, too!

Thank you Kevin, I don't mind the meditative state induced by long sessions of hand sanding.
