Hello all. I am stuck on what to do with a $1 yard sale knife that my little brother picked up. Having never seen one I thought it was home made from a leaf spring, then I found the markings. USMC Village Blacksmith. WW2 Marine Knife. The knife is rusty but not destroyed, cutting edge has no dings, one of the handles is split and half missing. SO do I clean it up and put it one the wall or really clean it up replace the handles and use it.

Thanks for any comments in advance.

I have a regular Collins Fromm wwII I'm restoring it's coming along nicley I say if it's not worth anything then Restore and reuse!

Definitely sounds like its worth saving. In fair condition with the original sheath those can worth two to three hundred bucks.

Thanks for the response. I gave it to a buddy of mine, a Marine his grand father was in WW2.
