WWII is great!

Well Dan, I couldn't stand it anymore. After I got home from work this evening I just had to take the WWII out and try it. I took it to an old board outside and not surprisingly split it all up in short order. I next tried it out on my heavy plastic mailbox (a casualty of a careless driver on New Year's Eve) and with a minimum of effort drove the point through it. I then chopped it into a piece of seasoned wood and knocked quite a wedge out of the wood. As expected I had no edge damage from any of this (I would have been surprised if there had been!) and the edge was actually sharper, seems chopping in to all this wood broke the wire edge off and left me with a nice polished edge. I took it to some finger width oak saplings growing in my azaleas and it sliced them like butter. I have the feeling that it could handle small trees equally as well.

My conclusion... I may never use a hatchet or machete again! I want to have this thing with me everywhere! I don't think it would be wise to keep a horn handle in the car where it gets so hot all the time but I might get a wood handle model to do just that! These knives are amazing and I've only sampled the potential of the design!

If I wasn't hooked on khukuri before I am now! (of course I was before but now I know why I should be!)

Guy: It's good to know the Zebra WW2 lives up to its good looks. There's this grin I've been suppressing, knowing that you're gonna love it. I know that you'll take good care of the Zebras, and you'll give them plenty of exercise. I hope you'll post more about your adventures with them in the future. Your letter arrived safely today...thanks.

Dan
