That sir is a beautiful early WW2 KA-BAR. It is often called the "blue phosphate" version because a zinc phosphate coating was applied rather than the darker grey iron phosphate most have. The blue phosphate ones will always only have the KA-BAR mark. Yours is also a "skinny handle fat pommel" version also proper for the blue phosphate models. Yours is a fine example.

Definitely knew it wasn’t a reproduction, thought maybe it was early post war made from parts.
For $50 I’m guessing I did ok, going into my USMC collection I’m building for my son.
Found a real Buck M9 USMC last week also.
