WWII KABAR USMC: Help tell age

Hey i found this usmc a while ago when i was doing a house clean out, i know that the guy was an ex-marine, The knive has USMC on one side by the hilt and kabar, olean,N.Y on the other side please tell me how old you think it is and if its worth anything

IMHO the quality of the pictures makes it impossible to give an informed comment on your questions. It's quite possible that I'm looking at an early (42) 1219C2 KA-BAR I can't be sure and condition would effect the value. I will say that the sheath in the first picture is not a correct one for a 1219C2 pattern knife. If it is what it appears to be, an M6 sheath, depending on it's condition it could very well be worth more than the knife.
 
I hate to tell you that you have one of the rarest KA-BAR's that exist...if it was in better condition. That one is pretty rough. The "red spacer" KA-BAR is the one that is the most collectible. Great knife.
 
I'd love to see clearer photos of this - even though it's rough I think the cell phone pictures probably aren't doing it justice.
