I got this knife that i belive is a WWII M2 para trooper knife, i got it at a yard sale for $2, it says Geo. Schrade Knife Co. BPT CONN on one side of the tang and Presto 1940 patent date on the other.

So what kind of knife is it? and does it have a value? I cant find any info on it, I tryed google, and found this site:)

If its worth any thing ill probly ebay it any way!

A lot depends on the condition of the knife. Does it work? Any chance for a picture?

Well it works fine....and it looks fine, Near the top of the handel, there like guards that come out, like most stiletto have!Besides that it matches this picture!

its very very close to this-----

Nice knife for Two bucks, I don't think you would find that on e-bay for much under Two Hundred, depending on time of day for the closure of the auction.
they are commanding some nice prices these days.

If its worth that much wow........its going ebay!

George Schrade had a patent on the safety pushbutton knife along with the wire jack. He started his own cutlery company in Bridgeport to persue the manufacture of those knives using the equpment from the defunct Challenge Cutlery Co after they folded (He had previously worked for them).
If any of the above is wrong, someone correct me, my memory's been known to fail me, often:confused: :D .
Your knife is a nice example, especially with the bone handles:thumbup: , I might add that I'm not to familiar with these knives, they're a little too expensive for me. I can't believe you got it for two bucks!

Won't be able to sell it on ebay. By definition, it's a switchblade and ebay does not allow the sale of switchblades. Not saying it doesn't happen, just that if the wrong person sees it, they'll report it as a violation of ebay selling and end the auction.
