WWW3 Clone Idea

I have had an idea that the basic idea of the WWW3 was really a good one, but that the logistics of multiple persons being involved in the project made it hard to complete. Also made it expensive.
What about this idea; Make the great WWW3 full tang and tapered tang blade, keep it unblued, have the Kamis fit horn or wood handles to it, and have it sent with a standard sheath w/ chakme and karda. No special American custom makers involved. Basicly a standard made Khuk with the best of both worlds. It would be a great standard item for inventory I bet. WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK?? Lets make something happen here.

I think It's a great idea. Make mine wood. With a panawal handle, you could always take the handle off and have it commercially blued at a gunshop then reinstall the slabs yourself.

But I think the K&C should be fully finished and better hardened

I'm working on a foldover sheath design based on Terry Cisco's quickdraw sheath. I'm using leather, but it would be trivial to adapt the pattern to kydex. I'll post an update sometime soon, I hope. And no, I won't be offering to make them for anyone :D

Hi Patrick!
It is good to see others still here at GH. I agree that the nice thing with the Panawal style handle is the ease of taking off the slabs and even changing the handle material if we wanted. Having it blued at our local gunsmith is easy and fairly cheap also. I actually have a WWW#3 and the kydex sheath is baisicly like Terry Sisco's quick draw sheath. I actually intend to have him make me a quick draw for my Reiger sometime soon. He will do it either with or without the wood inside IIRC. I hope Craig or another of the staff at GH see this thread and respond to it. I really would like to get one of these to play with, where I do not have to think about its collectability. Later guys!!

The best I could do was bring up an old post with some pics that Craig posted. Enjoy!
