  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Just got back from a 5 day trip down the Lower Gorge of the Salmon in an IK. Great trip even if I did wind up involuntarily swimming all of the rated rapids on the river... those damn laterals anyways... I got to use a few new things, my new Koyote Leuku which was a big eyecatcher for many of the people in my group, did some whittling and the cook insisted he use it for meal prep. Man is she a slicer. Hacked (and beat) down a few dead trees with the RC-5 for firewood, I swear I have no second thoughts about ever abusing a knife as it looks factory new after I do. The coolest thing I found on this trip, and the next thing I am adding to my kit, is an old school folding 11 inch wyoming saw. 5 blades and 3 pieces in a quality leather sheath about the size of a folding saw, that assembles in 10 seconds without tools. That little saw can bite through wood so fast... much more sturdy and comfortable than any folding saw could ever be. I highly suggest them.

I've hd one for over 15 yers. I suggest you try the bigger 18 inch s well.

(the 'eh' on my keybord just died)

If you're going to carry a Wyoming, I've always preferred the larger one as well.
