Last week I got an X-42 Mini Auto Clip, BG-42 steel, plain edge.
It was a pleasure to play with it.
Incredibly sharp, a beautiful design.
Fit and finish are not perfect, a handle is cheap, but a steel is wounderful. And knife is for cutting. I am very pleased with this beauty.
Now two questions.
1. concerning thumbstuds: the right one has a hole in it, and the left one no hole at all! I have impressions that there are two different types of thumbstuds, one with and one without a hole, and that somebody simply mixed two types. What else could it be?
2. Is it possible to remove thumstuds in order to clean it - are they screwed into blade? May sound a stupid question, but this is my first folder with a thumbstud - all others (except a Fallkniven U2) are Spyderco's folders with a hole.
