My apologies to the one that got stuck with a nube knife maker but she is on the way.
This is my first chef knife,
Steel cpm 154 OAL 12” bolster to tip 8” and 2” at the widest point, the knife is .176 thick and made the sheath so it could be used around camp as well as in the kitchen.
Bolsters are 316 SS dove tailed, Maple burl, spalted and stabilized by WSSI. The spine of the knife has vine file work, tang is tapered. Sheath is left handed, 9-10 oz leather hand tooled front and back. Also made a stand, the base is Osage with choya for the knife to rest in, vine made from flat copper with patina for leaves and copper wire used for vine.
Thanks for looking and Merry X-mas.

If it's anything like that chef knife I'd be ashamed for anyone to see it!

Hot damn, thats beautiful. You guys are really going beyond what i expected. Intimidating.

my only concern is that the bolster will make it hazardous to use a knife block without exposing part of the blade.

Thank you for asking,Talented? , I was blessed with a great knife maker that took the time to help me in the right direction and the people at blade forum and customers feedback have helped.

Very,Very nice-Great work knife and sheath, anyone would be happy that knife!!:thumbup:Happy Holidays Butch

Dude from what I can tell, you could have slapped Jay Fischer's name on it and no one woulda been the wiser! Excellant work!

I would be happy to receive that knife in the exchange. Looks like you do a pretty mean sheath as well.

Allen

I think the person getting this one will be quite happy! The knife looks fantastic as does the sheathwork. Great work all the way around!!!

I also thought of Fisher when I first saw it. GREAT knife. If you're a newbie, then you are a damned talented one. And I say damned because I just want to go stick my head in a hole somewhere now.

Oh my,

I just found out a few minutes ago that Cloyde made that beautiful work of art for me! Wow, I am as excited as a kid waiting for it to get here now!

Cloyde - Thank you VERY, VERY much for such a great piece of art. I think it will be going into my display area I have in my shop.

On my gosh, while I was writing this the UPS driver just came to the door. My wife just asked if I was expecting a Christmas exchange of something...

I have to go downstairs. Be back in a few...
