Greetings All,

Well today was the day. My wife went into my office and locked the door. This will be the first X-mas I recieve a knife from her and I am excited. Here is what I know so far.

-It's a brand of knife I already have.

Translation= Its a good knife, if she just went surfing and bought what appealed to her and I didn't have this brand I would be worried.

-It costs $100 + (We share a checking account and she had to make sure we keep decent track of our money)

Translation=What ever it is it has a good price point, yet it could still be anything

-It's a Folder

Translation=Thats a good thing as this is what I have been collecting the most of lately

And thats pretty much all I have to go by, Don't get me wrong if I tried hard enough I could find out exactly what it is, But I do want to be suprised, However the suspense is killing me and I have till the 25th to get it.

So my reason for my post is Who all is knows they are getting a knife for x-mas put have no clue which one??? Also how do you handle the mystery until that grand morning?? Thanks:)

I always know what knives I'm getting cause no one will by me one except me...lol.

The suspense would be sort of fun though..., hope it's a "keeper"!

isn't having a wife present enough?

I went out on three dates with three different girls last week... the sadness and loneliness of having to leave and go home when the sun comes up...:D

Only have one unknown knife that I know of coming this year.

I just recieved 4 more knives this last week for me, and 1 for my father...

My friend and I have been doing a knife exchange for the 4yrs we've known each other. $50CAN limit is what we've done in the past... might go up with both of us working ths year, dunno... have to ask him about this xmas(#5).

I might have one coming my way, but have no idea what it is. I gave my brother a list of some decent folders, and other stuff he could get me. He wrapped it up like a package bomb, so who knows what it could be.

I should me getting the TNT I ordered for myself around the end of this year, begining of next.:D Can't wait for it to get here.

Man, I'd settle for the three dates--in fact, Hell, the way things are going with me I'd settle for one...

Anywho, I'm like Examon--no one ever gets me knives since no one I know knows anything about knives. So I just look at my Xmas money like a new knife--that's usually where it goes anyway.

I started this routine about 15 years ago. I usually place my order about 6 months ahead of time and ask for a delivery around the end of November to the first of December. Use to be I could actually get Kit to make a knife in that time frame. If I place my order with Kit today I can have my knife by Christmas...............of 2005:eek: ;) :) So the next best thing this year, was an Obenauf folder. Got a large model 2 Framelock coming in this week. The hard part is waiting until the 25th to get to play with my new toy. I have devised a surefire method though of getting to play earlier...I just switch the knife in the box with one I already have and presto, I get to play with my new knife!! What a knifenut will do for an early fix! ;) :D

The same way with me, I've had a few near misses involving Franklin Mint:barf: I simply said that I didn’t like the style :D

I've got two sisters who can't understand my 'love' of knives. This year I'm spending Christmas at one of their homes. I'm going to wrap up my latest 'incoming' knife & place it under her Christmas tree with a tag on it for me from my sister! When my niece grabs that present & 'plops' it in my lap to open, I'll get all 'gushy' & say to my sister: "Oh! you shouldn't have!" Rip off the wrapping & watch her eyes pop out of her head as I 'fondle' my latest acquisition.:D I know my niece will say: "Mom gave you that for Christmas? I know what I'm asking for next year!":D

Gadi (from Israel) sent a NIB Ontario/Bagwell Hell's Belle to me today, and I expect it to arrive sometime around Christmas. This is sort of like a Christmas present (eventho I traded him one of my SOG Tridents for it), 'cause I've wanted a Hell's Belle for a long time. I've never held or even SEEN one of these (Ontario OR Bagwell) Hell's Belle Bowies, so I'll be in suspense 'till I open the box that it's packaged in when it arrives...(And at least Gadi looked it over for me to make sure that is mint, and a good production, so I won't have to worry about that...).

I feel like an 8 year old kid on Christmas Eve...:D.
