I've looked at the Mordax a couple of times because I love me some button locks...but it's a little bigger than I carry on a daily basis. As a result, I've never grabbed one.

There are 67 reviews on the Drop site with an average rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars. Have you read through those reviews?

One thing to be aware of; the original Mordax had titanium scales. The new one currently being offered are made of aluminum. I don't hate aluminum; I have a few knives in my rotation that have aluminum scales. It does seem a lot less premium than titanium, however. It feels like a swap in materials of this magnitude should have lowered the price of the knife...but it didn't. I'd rather they'd stuck with Ti and milled the slabs to reduce weight.

If you're set on a button lock flipper, take a look also at the Freeman 451 BLF. It might be a better all-around knife than the Mordax. I do have a 451 and can recommend it without hesitation.

Slicey Dicey has a pretty good youtube review. You can see it here:
I purchased the milled green version of the mordax and 100% love it. Action is so smooth and drops shut with the button lock.

Yeah I should have figured you've seen the video reviews. I'm actually not too familiar with any other ProTechs. The quality seems really good though. 100% centered and no blade play at all.

Mine arrived a couple of days ago. Centered, flips better than the Freeman (which is also very, very good), locks up rock solid, and drops shut beautifully. I don't mind the aluminum and it isn't as chalky feeling as the Benchmade 940. My only complaint is that the choil doesn't work for my fat fingers (I wear XL gloves for a frame of reference). I'm very impressed with it overall. I am also happy with my decision not to get one with milling as I prefer more neutral handles.

I'm kind of interested in this knife.
But, I've tried searching forums for input on this knife from anyone that owns one, but haven't found any.
Anyone own this knife? Would like some honest opinions.

Only thing I do not like about mine is the clip.

Buyers choice comes in titanium, at a $400 premium!

3 bolt clip

I've got one (blacked out with milling). The milling is not the most comfortable thing in hand and the edge is waaaay too thick, like .030" behind the edge, so reprofiling was an absolute chore and it doesn't slice well. It's well made but I think they could have done it better. I wouldn't have bought one due to those problems, but I got mine for about 50% of list price so I couldn't refuse.

Mine has a tiny bit of vertical blade play, more so than any other nice button lock I've owned from Hogue/Microtech/Freeman.

If you care about how the knife works as a knife, rather than how it flips open and closed, I'd say it isn't inspiring.
