Alright, I don't want to start a console war or anything I just want ya'lls opinions on games.I'm getting the Xbox because that's what I want and because my friend has one and I like it.

I'm savin up to buy an Xbox 360 Elite and I'm gonna get Rock Band and the AC/DC disc for it. I'm also gonna get the N Networking Adapter thing for Xbox Live. What are some games ya'll would suggest? I like hunting so I'll get a huntin game eventually. I've never been very good at the military games though. Thanks for any help.

But you didn't say you don't like them? Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2

Well, my Son loves the HALO on line gaming. He also says that the new Assassin's Creed II that is coming out for Christmas is supposed to be the best game of the year.

Halo is a good place to start for FPS gaming, simple enough. COD and others take it up from there into some real intense game play.

Call of Duty is SICK. World at War is pretty awesome and I could play the Nazi zombie levels for days.

Make sure you play the classics!
I reccomend:
- Mass Effect
- Ninja Gaiden 2
- Assassins creed (rent before you buy since it's a love it or hate it game)
- Fable 2
- Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 (best online co-op ever.)
- Gears of War 1&2
- Oblivion
- Fallout 3
- Bioshock (you MUST play this)
- Lost Odyssey (if you like old school JRPG's)
- Too Human (great fun if you have friends who have it and you love loot/level grinding a la diablo)
- Splinter Cell double agent (don't bother if you have played chaos theory)

That's all the classics I can think of off the top of my head. New games to look out for are:
- Halo ODST (has the best halo campaign since combat evolved)
- Gears of war 2 (great game if you are American since everyone else lags like crazy)
- Assassins creed 2 (doesn't matter if you like the first game, this one is miles better)
- Forza motorsport 3
- Modern Warefare 2

I think halo is more FUN than call of duty, but COD is far more intense. ODST ships with a second disc called mythic which is basically halo3's multiplayer component with all the maps to date so you can jump right in.

Hope this helps mate and congats on your purchase!

halo, oblivion, prince of persia, assassins creed, call of duty modern warfare, mirrors edge, soul calibur..... just some greats.

prototype is fun as hell. if you dont feel like doing missions, you can just rup up and down buildings, killing anyone you feel like it and have a hell of time doing it. very highly recommended. also, if at all possible, i would do a direct connection to your router for xbox live, instead of wasting a hundred bucks on the adapter. if its not an option, then i guess you've got no choice.

seriously though, prototype is badass. black is a really good fps also. its for original xbox, but it works on the 360 and is very, very fun.

A lot of the best titles are out on both platforms PS3 and XBox360. For multiplayer the PS3 is free, but I've heard the play is cleaner on the XBox360.

Long term costs of XBox Live make it expensive.

I've got my brand new Xbox 360 Elite with wireless N adapter playing on a Samsung 780P LCD. It's amazing.

Borderlands and Modern Warfare 2 for me right now. Forza 3 will be added to the mix this winter. Then Mass Effect 2 whenever that comes out...

Great stuff!!!

Ps3 Network doesn't even come close to game play as Xbox live. I have both. It's so slow incomparison. But that's why it's free.

No matter if your good at it, you need modern warfare 2 and you gotta have a live account, and you gotta have assassins creed II but play through the first one first

Forza 3 if you are a racing simulation fan, is great with a good home heater system.
Halo 3, simply EPIC.
Modern Warfare 2, it's just a great game on xbox live. Wouldn't recommend it for non xbox live use though, multiplayer is 99% of the game.
UFC 2009 is pretty fun if you're a UFC fan. It isn't perfect but it's fun.

Check IGN for game reviews on the games you might be interested in, it will save you money in the long run because you won't be wasting money on games that look good on the box but actually suck.
