i needed to shave today and what better way to do it then with a new test razor
im a fan of heavyer blades and this one is jsut short of an inch tall and a wedge grind (10" wheel )
its all belt finished for me to see about any rust issues compared to the cpm154 i had been making razors with. with the XHP i shoudl see smoother shaves and nearly as long edge holding but thats why i have this tester so i can make adjustments in HT
i had a bunch of claro walnut done by K&G and i love the way it turned out with even just a bit of oil and a light buff

Beautiful Razor. I wish now that instead of the Wackers I bought years ago I went ahead and got one of yours I was eying at the time.
I love looking at your razors.

thanks guys
and man i just got done shaving with it and its much smoother then any shave i have got from my cpm154 razors (not that there bad) now to see how the edge holding is on the next month of shavign

That is unbelievably gorgeous. Very nice work sir.

Nice! An 8/8 near wedge must be a good ol axe! Beautiful work. I really should get one from you. I'm headed out to the shop to start another straight and kamisori as well.

im looking for a member or 2 that has been on the forum a bit and has experience with a straight razor and shaving (Matt G. is one since he wanted to try a wedge)
im doing this cause of the XHP and my thoughts that it might be the best SS for a fine edge ever and wanted to get feedback from more users that have tried more different razors then i

Butch, I'm not the man for the job but I can vouch for someone who is. I think he'd enjoy checking that out, and he's known for being very honest in his critiques. I'll pm you his name

looks like i got 2 people tht can vouch for that member and i also got Matts info so i have 3 people now and will run with that for right now

Butch, if you ever need another tester, I'd love to be considered as well.

Have you ever done a true wedge, with no hollow? I'd assume it would be horrible to hone.

thats why you will not see a true wedge (way too much to hone )
even with a 10 inch wheel it makes for a stiff and bulldoser liek shave
