I recently bought a Code 4 clip point plain edge and a Recon 1 both in XHP. I snapped them up while still available. They arrived a couple of days ago. I'm delighted with them. They lock up totally solidly, yet are smooth to release for Triad locks. And they are razor sharp.

hard not to like the xhp. I'm not a big d2 fan. find it a pain to reprofile and a bear to get sharp with a finer edge. unless one likes coarse edges and I really dont.

xhp is easier to reprofile and takes a much finer edge in my experiences with it. shame cold steel went to s35vn which is decent but I just dont like it as much as xhp.

You just messed up dude! I foresee more CS Recon1s in your future! I own four variants. Not a big fan of the Code 4 due to the smooth scales but I hope you enjoy your's! Have you seen the snaggletooth thread? Great product!
