Seems this thread kind of faded away.
Well, I received a Xikar Extreme (Xi-1888BGTR) recently, and have to say that the Italians make a good knife!
Positives:
--Perfect liner lock-up
--blade grinds are symmetrical
--no blade play in either direction.
--Deep pocket clip.
Negatives:
--Clip is a bit small
--odd blade shape may not appeal to everyone
--New, unproven brand
