Oh yeah ! Seen this knife for a while . Finally had to drop some coin , just to see how badly a knife can be copied / made .
The Opinel has the twist lock collar and if it's not correctly fitted , the knife is going to feel like rubbish !
Yeah , the Chinese FUBAR 'ed the lock . So the knife feels like rubbish .
How about edge retention ?
Factory edge was so bad , I had to put down a fresh 22 deg edge ..
That edge wore away in the first 50 slices . No rolls , nothing fancy ! The edge just went away !
The knife is being touted as some fruit knife , so I guess it should be capable of slicing fruit for a while .
