i wanted to make a large loveless style fighter. i ended up with something kinda like an extra large chute knife . it has a 8 3/4" 1084 blade, which is 1 3/8" wide. soldered nickel guard, tapered tang, green canvas and red liners. one photo has a mini chute (3 1/2" blade) and chute (4 1/4" blade) styled knives for size comparison. thanks for taking a look !

That's a BIG chute knife!  Yow!

Really impressive. I hope you had satisfaction in making them.

Good thread.

That's a superb knife my friend....exceptional in every way. [emoji106][emoji41]

I find it a really odd spot to put a cut swedge on this blade length, and I also don't understand the use of 1084 in this application. Would have made a better Dixon/Big Bear style fighter, IMO. Your workmanship looks exemplary.

Super nice fit and finish they look perfect, very nice job on the sheath also.

thanks guys ! mt damascus, i cut the top edge in halfway between the guard and where the clip starts, because it looked best to my eye, and i wanted to leave more metal/weight on the blade for a bit more hacking power/momentum. i made the blade a bit wider than a big bear for this same reason. i have only worked with high carbon steels so my choices are limited. i assure you it will do its intended purpose well. i appreciate the comments.

I LOVE this knife! I have a chute inspired knife I bought from a local maker 20 years ago (ATS34, 5") with green linen micarta handles, it's been one of my favorites for years. And I like this one MORE! Making it longer give it better lines IMO and I like where you started the top grind too.

Make sure this isn't the last one.
