Xm-18 3.5 availability

hello,

I don’t find much gen6 xm-18 3.5 available on usual dealers.
And when some are in stocks there are not much options available - blade shapes and finishes

Is it any new production batch to be expected soon?
 
Yes, actually i was thinking to both of them but even in these websites I don’t find much 3.5

I will keep looking and waiting for new blades to come
 
Rick is good about posting new models Instagram. Both retailers also give a heads up on IG.

DLT Trading (one of our sponsors) has a ton of them, so does USAMadeBlade (another sponsor, and a personal favorite). I don't see a real lack of inventory right now. Now, if you're looking for a very specific build, say, a Bowie 3.5 with battle-blue or something like that, then it's possible those are more limited, true.

Hinderer as been putting a lot out lately so if you want a 3.5 they are pretty available. But if you are looking for a very specific configuration, especially since a lot of the blade shapes haven't been done on the Tri-Way yet, yeah it's pretty likely you aren't going to find that. I talked to Rick a bit at the USA MAde Blade open house, the way he spoke they are all coming, but the batch of X blade shape might be scheduled for 6-9 mo from now, possibly even longer for specific finishes. Also keep in mind that we all love the various blade shapes, but that also means they have to find production time for each shape, so it's often a long time in between batches of a specific blade type, add to that 3 sizes and new projects...it's alot of balls to manage. whitty whitty might be able to weigh in with a bit more detail (don't expect alot tho!)
 
Sadly, some blade shapes sell out so fast, they may never even hit websites, due to pre orders and special deals. Soon after the gen 6 models came out, there was a run of wharncliffe blades; which sold out within 2 or 3 days. That was several months ago.
OP, if you are really looking for a specific item. I suggest that you email the various outlets and see if you can get on a waitlist for them.

We have a Hinderer email list on our site (https://www.dlttrading.com/rick-hinderer-knives)

If you sign up for that list you will get a notification when new items go up, that's the best way to keep track of the new stuff.

You won't find any better than DLT IMHO.

And I am waiting on certain models and builds to come out too ... we get so used to clicking a link and a knife shows up ... at least the Hinderers are worth the wait.
 
Truthfully Hinderer has not put out a lot of XM-18 3.5" lately. When they do they are gone very fast. That is going to be remedied very soon. Keep an eye out in the for sale by dealer section on bladeforum and also on our Instagram. We will be updating on both!
