In the FAQ sticky, the price for a production XM-18 3.5" is $385.00. Where can I find a production xm 3.5 at this price?

If you are a first responder or in the Armed Services you can get one direct from Hinderer Knives.

Like Mike said be a first responder or military or get your name pulled at the lottery. Other than that secondary marked is a few dollars more! But the ZT 0560 is nice as well!
 
i paid quite a bit more than the MSRP for both my xm18 and xm24.... they are hard to find. you have to be military, police, fire fighter, EMT, etc to get it the knives at MSRP.

as for going to a knife show, thats a little unfeasible for me especially when considering travelling expenses etc... so all in all, even though i pay more on the secondary market, i think its fair. travelling to a knife show or going for one of Rick's knife classes would have cost me more overall.

LOL, I design roads and transport systems which military, police and emergency services often use, what do you think my chances are?
 
I'm former military. That won't work, but when I build my time machine... golden! (I just have to remember the crystals.)
 
Well, my company employs quite a few policeman, does that count? How about this, I had Rick and Lori Hinderer locked up in our jail cell (and I have a pic to prove it), does that count? :)

I think the requirements are pretty straightforward:

(Hinderer knives sells) production XM-18's directly to active military personnel and first responders (LEO, EMT, EMS)

Everything else goes through dealers, various knifes shows and their gatherings.
 
I know, I know...trying to throw some humor .....i guess i need to go to the police academy...return to the Marine Corps...or pay the piper
 
His knives are extraordinarily popular. To the point people gladly pay 2x the msrp price for it. His support for the military is quite obvious and very much appreciated.
And even military/leo have to wait until he has them available. I got lucky with my first one and they just happened to have them available the first time I called.
