Ok so I have a 3rd gen xm18 3.5 non flipper. It had the 45 caliber lockbar stabilizer/hinder on it. Well I changed it out for the stock stabilizer provided with the knife. Other was tacky to me. Anyways when I changed it the action became way smoother and much easier and better to open. Any idea why?? Just curious it's weird to me.

The new stabilizer probably lets the framelock rest/travel very slightly farther out than the other one, making the ball detent easier to overcome. In other words, it's likely due to the same principle that explains why a framelock is easier/smoother to open if you don't have your finger pressing on the outside of the lock.
