IMG_4278.jpg IMG_4287.jpg Hey all just picked up my first RHK, a gen 4 XM-18 3.5" slicer (in route), and wondering is the stock hardware, standoffs, clip, and filler tab, etc all stainless? I found that the stock pivot and body screws are ss for sure just wondering about the rest? Im assuming so if anyone can confirm. Also curious if the CF scale is aftermarket? Thanks!

"The standard screws, receivers, standoffs, lockbar stabilizer (LBS) and pivot components are 17-4PH stainless steel. Everything is currently made in house with the exception of the clip screws."

Stick to RHK branded parts, this especially rings true when buying/installing a full titanium scale in place of your liner and G10. An off brand Ti scale can completely throw your lock interface out of alignment among other issues. Buy from reputable dealers and look for the Horsey head!

I was thinking that with the hardware and pivot screw specifically but didn't really consider the scale. good advice.

Hinderer's Stainless sticks to a magnet also, so thats another way to check between the Titanium vs SS if your not sure what it is.
His SS is super soft and easily stripped so I wouldn't put much loctite on them and if you do, use the pink stuff.
His titanium is even more soft and I really dont know why anyone would buy it except for the fact it comes in anodized colors. I for one dont like assembling my knife with Play-doe hardware:D
Congratulations on your first Hinderer Sir! Amazing knives!
