Hey BF, How is everyone? Good I hope..
Just wondering what blade enthusiasts would choose? :] Does anyone have all?
I never held XM-18 Gen 3 before, any thoughts?
Thanks for your time.

Chris reeve is by far the Best and either the Zaan or the Sebenza will do you fine I own a lot of Chris Reeve knives so I might lean that way but there's a reason I own a lot of Chris Reeve knives.

I own all of them and my 3.5" XM-18 and small Insingo get carried every day. They are all excellent choices so I doubt you will be disappointed with any of them. Personal preference for me rank the XM-18(3" and 3.5") at the top, followed by the small Insingo, small Sebenza, Umnumzaan, Large Insingo, Large Sebenza. I have carried all of these at one time or another and that is the order of my personal preference for them.

I would get the XM 18 if I could only buy just one knife. The Sebenza is very nice too. You will be just fine with which ever one you end up with. I just like the XM 18 better. GOOD LUCK! If you have the cash just buy both :D:thumbup: Kevin

I think the Zaan would be a better Everyday Carry knife. The full flat or saber grind on the XM is THICK.

Both are by far superb in quality.
The XM has better ergonomics and is WAY heavy duty. The XM is also very heavy weight wise.

For my cutting tasks a thinner blade works better.
Although I don't own a Zaan I do own Sebenzas and the high hollow grinds slice like no tomorrow.

for utility a seb is the best. For tactical look and toughness: Hinderer. For inbetween id go with Um. I prefer the seb out of the choices.

I've had both. I still have the xm-18, but today while I was skinning a deer I really wished I still had my zaan. The xm-18 is great for about everything else. I will be getting another zaan soon.

The zaan has awful thumb studs, if you have the ability to handle one before buying one do so and your see. Xm or seb be my choices.

My vote is for Sebenza (large or small, depending on your needs), and not just because it's such an exceptional knife to carry and use, but also because of the ease of breakdown, cleaning, and reassembly. And, as a bonus, CRK customer service is top-notch too.

Only one way to really find out,
I really like both, Quality is built into both XM's & Seb

I would get the XM-18. Although I have an Insingo and an Umnumzann I always end up carrying the Hinderer.
