Xm-18 pricing questions from a newbie

Good evening BF

First, a preemptive apology if this is in the wrong place

I am wondering about the second hand market pricing of the XM-18

More specifically the range for xm-18 3.0 choil vs no choil in light-carry to LNIB conditions

Also any other tips, things to check, or ask

References to existing threads, guides, or videos most welcome

You can always take a look at the for sale section in the exchange to get an idea of what things are selling for.

Are the no-choil 3" versions dealer exclusives like the 3.5s? If so, I'd expect them to be a little pricier than the more widely-available models.

They are indeed. A DLT exclusive to be specific

Make sure detent is good. Most are now

Watch the board for a while and you will get a sense of price. It is hard to say what a good price is. If someone wants it here and sees it quick it will go fast. If someone does not want it then it sits for a long time.

Most of the people here are good about describing issues or showing it in a picture.

The normal things to look for are like any other knives:
..centered blade
..smooth action
..does it come with box and accessories, if any
..is it abused or modified

I wish when items sold they would leave the sell price as that would help people like yourself trying to learn about them.

You can make an offer though a PM, but you run the risk of someone later saying "I will take it" and you lose out.
